It has been a very exciting first week back in PE, with the girls experiencing two very new sports. The key stage three girls fully embraced the opportunity to learn the challenging skill of riding a BMX bike. The PE department were left feeling extremely proud of all students who showed great resilience and determination in mastering a new challenge.
The year 10 girls made the journey down to the Fulham Reach Boat Club, ready for their first rowing lesson of the half term. The students were split into groups, while some worked on the fundamental fitness components needed to be a successful rower, others headed straight out onto the Thames. Once again the students showed an overwhelming intrepid approach to the entire lesson.
Many thanks to Fulham Reach Boat Club and Hammersmith BMX Club for providing our students with the facilities for these exciting new opportunities within the PE curriculum.
